AWARDS 2024
GRAND PRIX

DVA
ALEXANDRA KARELINA
The complexity, comprehensiveness and unique and authentic artistic expression are some of the most noticeable features of this peculiar piece of post-socialist sci-fi. As an example of excellent use of a personal story for depicting important social, but also metaphysical aspects, this film leaves the audience in awe, with a multitude of questions.

ACTS OF MEMORY
MAIRÉAD MCCLEAN
For a visionary, highly symbolic and daringly experimental approach in a rumination on the significance of the past events, and their tightly knit correlation with the present and the future, the Curators Award goes to the Irish filmmaker Mairead McClean for ACTS OF MEMORY - a film whose substance is insightfully matched to its hybrid style
Voted by the curators : Ejla Kovačević, Nikola Gocić and Marko Milićević.
SPECIAL MENTION

THIS WEREWOLF COMPLEX
HEATHER ANDREWS
In THIS WEREWOLF COMPLEX, Heather Andrews masterfully presents an unusual medical condition in a way that can only be described as acid trip. Real life and fantasy clash through audio confessions of people who experience aura and imaginary world based on said confessions. If Alice had got a seizure while exploring Wonderland, this sometimes dreamy, sometimes nightmarish vision is what she would have experienced. Most importantly, the author urges us to find inspiration in what also frightens us and makes us uneasy. For managing to convey this message in less than 20 minutes, while doing it visually striking too, this film deserves a special mention.

THREE MYSTICS
IOANNA FILIPPOPOULOU
In a film of exceptional poetics, visually powerful and striking, with beautiful tributes to cinematic heritage, such as that of Shengelaia, as well as the legacy of Greek cinema, Ioanna Filippopoulou brings to us a story of three poetesses who rejected the life they were forced to live and instead chose the sublimity of poetry and the divine.
Metaphysical as much as it is socially relevant, this film transcendentally bridges centuries and meridians, telling a story of a woman’s courage and the power of art.

WHY I NEVER BECAME A DRIVER
YUULA BENIVOLSKI
Yuula Benivolski’s film WHY I NEVER BECAME A DRIVER stands out as a mesmerizing example of interweaving diverse real stories into a deeply intimate, unique surrealistic narrative. Vulnerably personal, emotionally intense, excellently composed, with archival material used as counterpoint to the most fragile angles of soul, this film deserves the Special Mention Award with all honors.

BEST ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK

DECADENTIA by GUILLAUME ANGLARD

If we are to believe DECADENTIA, the future of humanity is a hopeless and barren wasteland. This is further reinforced by eerie soundtrack composed by Nuit Moduilare, successfully complementing the somber atmosphere of this film.
Voted by the jury : Vladimir Đorđević, Ana Pantić, Pavle Banjac
BEST LIVE SOUNDTRACK

NINA LAZAREViĆ (ESC!) FOR
IN PURSUIT OF SOLACE
